|Recommended: NoIssues With Large Pets And Management — - Management recently decided to allow large 150 pound dogs in the building causing many issues
- I have personally seen residents fight in lobby about one resident dog attacking another resident child
- High rise apartment living is not the place for large dogs
- Majority residents do not have dogs. Management new pet policy is helping existing residents
- Management is not friendly and awkward
- Apartment is a home and requires a friendly management staff - its all about community
|Recommended: YesGreat Location — The good Fabulous location - close to the metro, farmers market, grocery store, mall, stores, restaurants. Maintenance is top notch - very responsive. Concierges are very nice and helpful. Lots of building events and charity projects collecting books food, etc . Apartment is large and has lots of light. Gym is fantastic - very large and well equipped. The bad Facility is getting a little long in the tooth. Appliances are not very efficient and do not appear to have been replaced since the 1990's. Heating AC is way below what you can find elsewhere. Thermostat is very old fashioned and not very precise. It cannot be programmed. Hot water takes easily 2 minutes to run hot enough to get in the shower. Result is higher utility bills. Also do not like that the stove is electric, not gas. Wish the concierge service was 24-hours. No deadbolts or even chains on the doors. Not much security if someone wants to break in.
|Recommended: YesGreat Place To Live — Adjectives to describe the Meridian at Ballston convenient, clean, safe, quite, friendly, and accommodating. The gym is great with up-to-date equipment and a clean environment. The people respect the privacy of others generally by not talking on cell phones. I have had two minor maintenance issues and they were fixed immediately. I like the diversity in ages also. I didn't want to go to a 55 community even though I could. I like the energy of the residents. All in all, you can say I'm really happy I chose to live here Mary
