The culinary heart of the bakery belongs to chef and owner David Guas. Hailing from New Orleans, Guas is a seasoned author and prominent TV culinary judge who uses his platform to give back. His extensive charitable work includes co-founding Chefs Feeding Families with Real Food for Kids, an initiative that served over 180,000 meals to children facing food insecurity during COVID. Through his Community Spoon campaign, he personally prepared meals and collected donations for Afghan refugees transitioning to Northern Virginia, and even traveled to Poland with World Central Kitchen to feed displaced Ukrainian refugees.
